In the past few days, I've done a lot of aimless driving around this city in the name of random errands. Looking for photo ops. Trying to memorize every last detail of every square foot. Not really able to capture the feeling of here in any single image. I miss it here already and I still have twenty-five days to go. I don't want to treat it as if I've already left. But I am in many ways. I want to memorize every last detail. I want to embed everything about it so deeply in my mind that even though I'm leaving, it's not really gone from my life. For now, I am right here. Let's not forget that in the next twenty-five days. This shot was taken as we were leaving town for our last trip to St Louis, back in February. Soon we'll be leaving here again for STL, but not to visit. |
